Flat out busy.

reynardoIt's the full week of teaching this week. I teach year 1 students, who are aged between 5 and 7. Read the poem below and try and guess what I am teaching today.
Augustus Gloop was very sad.
His room was freezing cold -
A glacier had brought in ice
And damp and ugly mould.
Augustus Gloop loved silly soup,
Made of glue and glitter,
His glasses sat upon his nose,
And made his eyeballs jitter.
His home was filled with glowing globes,
A raggle, taggle bloom,
That sat above his beagle's bed
And lightened up the gloom.
Augustus Gloop was glad to see
When someone drew a squiggle
Of triangles and scraggly lines
That made him smile and giggle.
So when Augustus went to bed,
And dreamed a jungle glade,
A single monkey joined him there,
And in the gloam they played.
