Hello there,

sshg_exchange creator! How lovely of you to drop by! I've made a fresh pot of tea, and the biscuits should be baked in a tick... (*ding!*) Ahhh - there they are! Why don't you have a seat and I'll fill you in on the bits and pieces.

First of all, here's my prompt thingie.

Also, if you need to encourage more bunnies, here’s some bonuses:

a) That classic movie or TV show that you’ve always wanted to turn into a Severus/Hermione piece

b) If The Riddle didn’t inspire you, was there another song from those years that calls out? (I will ask, though, nothing with autotune. Please. )

c) You know that piece of yours that you’ve had sitting in a back folder for the last little while? Want to finish it? Include an espaliered pear tree and I’ll consider it perfect!

I’ll pretty much recycle the Wants and Don’t wants from last year:

I like intelligent women. Men who don't fall over at the slightest hint. People who can think for themselves. I like people who have some weaknesses to make them more human. And I love the journey that a story can take. I want characters to do things because that’s the way they’ve been heading anyway. It might be silly, but then that’s what human nature is like, and face it, Hermione and Severus are human.

I like romance, and some smut, although I don't need a full-on description. Turning the lights out and leaving it to my imagination is great. If you like writing the smut, though, don't let me stop you ... hot smut is wonderful. But I do like my smut to have a substance. Even if Hermione walks out of school and grabs the first male she sees to shag him like a maniac, there needs to be a reason why she’s done that. Potion? Bitten by mysterious insect? Too many randy young male students around and she needs to relieve her tensions somehow? Fine - but not just sex out of nowhere.

Throw in Lucius if he's one of your favourites too ~~, but otherwise not madly into another person in the group.~~ Slight change there. If the plot is calling for someone else, you’ll know it. Although a little restraint if you please - you’d need a really good reason for, for instance, to add Horace Slughorn to the mix. And I prefer if Ron isn't a total jerk. In fact, if the whole “why Hermione isn’t with Ron" thing comes up, I’d prefer nothing too nasty - again, unless the situation calls for it.

(Refill your cup? Rather nice, isn’t it? Comes from a delightful little shop in our local mountains. Can I entice you with a slice of sponge?)

Now don't feel you have to follow all of this. If a plot-bunny has bitten you, run with it. The bunnies must be encouraged. Bunnies are our friends. Currently I have a pack of bunnies running around me and begging for attention, so far be it for me to dissuade you from cultivating a few.

Art-wise? ANYTHING! I put some ideas on my prompt post, but once more, if something else bites you and must be created, then do not let me stand in your way.

Of course, should the prompts ask to be combined, split, mixed, ground up, buried in peat and recycled three months later as firelighters, then go with it. Just don’t forget to show the Mods where you buried the bodies when they ask for an update in August.

Now, should you be wibbling under the weight of all of this, fear not. I am thrilled that you are doing this, and touched that you are spending your time and effort thinking over my weird little preferences and making them into something glorious. Seriously. Thank you so much. You’re being kind enough to make me something, and for this I am very, very grateful.
