Are you sewing drawers, or is "drawers" separate from "sewing"? ;-)

Drawers. As in what people think of as "knickers" but are underwear, to wear under skirts. "Knickers", of course, like bloomers, are outerwear - sort of like soft shorts.

Yes, those were the sorts of drawers I was wondering if you were sewing :-)

Ohhh yes, of course. And the Cadbury Cream eggs have hit the supermarkets already, too.

Good. Enjoy some for the deprived squirrels in the states. Arnott's "partner" stateside decided NOT to distribute TimTams this year. (chatterspit) They have remained silent on the matter despite the deluge of inquiries posted on their FB page.

Perhaps you can order some in from Canada? I've heard they sell them up there.

Another lj friend has had luck with other Aussie foods and drink via World Market, too. I just looked them up on their site, and they do sell the original and caramel ones. While you're there, if you visit store or site, try Bundaberg Ginger Beer (brewed in the bottle soft drink) if you have a taste for that sort of thing. It's the closest to home brewed you'll find and I love it.

LOL! Go to World Market??? I live in the Maine wilderness, far northeastern USA. It's no man's land. How no man? One of my friends finally got mobile/cellphone service in her town 2 years ago. Prior to that, people in her town and to drive five miles south out of the valley the town is in to get a tower. Their town is so remote that if you want to go to a chain fast food restaurant, you need a passport because the nearest one an hour away is in Quebec, Canada.

I'm 2 hours south of that friend. The nearest WM to us is 16 to 18 hours non-stop driving away (and only if you drive at night to avoid traffic) in Washington, DC. With shipping, TimTams through them by mail order are between $5.20 and $5.70 a package, depending on the number of packages you order at once.

Getting something shipped from Canada would be more costly between customs and international postage.

I appreciate the suggestion, but it's too costly for this cheap American. I will have to go without for now.

Yes, I can see where that could get expensive. Mind you, they're not cheap over here (but then again, nothing is - Australia is wicked expensive).

Unless you get them on special, they're around AU$4.00 a packet which is around US$3.60 or so. Of course, most of us (the people I know, anyway) just stock up on them when they have them on special and then end up in chocolate induced comas because they can't stop at one...packet that is. Personally, I like the dark chocolate ones, but have to be in the mood to eat them - I love chocolate, but I'm not much of a sweet tooth.

When I do get my paws...er hands on some, I ration them out. It's hard to do, but I can make a package last a week...provided my wife doesn't find'em. :)

Thank you. Unlikely, but the closer, the better.

Trouble is, I keep thinking of new things to put on it.
