So, not only can I now admit to writing Forgetting, (in response to a [livejournal.com profile] sshg_promptfest prompt by [livejournal.com profile] asentiax), but I got bitten.

By plot bunnies.

Badly.

There were two prompts that snuck up on me and MADE ME DO IT!

From [livejournal.com profile] stronghermione1 Fic: Looking through the crowded room, Hermione wished she could find just one person she knew. As the masses of people cleared before her she found she did recognise someone. Just goes to show you should be careful what you wish for (SS/HG or SS & HG).

And from [livejournal.com profile] teddyradiator Fic:Severus and Hermione meet years after the war in an art gallery. Unfortunately, the spirit of Casseopeia has been challenged by her fellow immortals to bring two souls together. What happens? (SS/HG.)

You two only have yourselves to blame. The Gallery. (Bonus points if you can spot the factual error in it).

Thank you so much for such a beautiful (and terrifying!!) story. I was thinking at the beginning when Hermione met Severus and 'Andrew', "Ummm, I don't know if I...."

But it was delightful, and touching, and so adorable! I forgave you instantly for scaring the poop out of me! :)

Seriously, thank you - this was a delightful conclusion to a great fest, and a wonderful gift.

I am glad. But I did have a bit of difficulty with Casseopiea. All the stuff I could find has her as a queen, not an immortal. Or was it supposed to be someone else?

Yes Casseopiea had bragged her daughter Andromeda was more lovely than even Hera. The jealous and vengefull goddess sent the Gorgon to Ethiopia and Andromeda was chained to a rock as a sacrifice to appease it. Perseus came along to save her by using the severed Medusa's head to turn it into stone. Unfortunately Andromeda's parents were also turned to stone as well, and the gods took pity on them and placed them both in the sky as constellations, thus granting them immortality. Fickle, those Greek gods.

Ah, the old "immortal, but unable to do anything about it" trick. I hadn't thought of it that way.
