kerravonsen, meet
torin3.
torin3 made my beautiful
Marudai for
Kumihimo braiding. Torin, I've never had the time to truly get into using it, and it deserved to be with someone who would appreciate and use it, so I've passed it to
kerravonsen with much blessing.
However, my beautiful Toledo steel stitch unpicker is MINE, DO YOU HEAR ME? MINE!
Also, Torin, hoping to come by and collect and give hugs in about 6 months :-)

Date: 2014-09-22 10:35 pm (UTC)I have ordered weights and weighted bobbins (from suitable online craft shop), since my existing non-weighted bobbins, while perfectly fine for my portable foam Kumihimo disk, will not do for the Real Thing.
I am looking forward to doing more complex braids than the simple round braid - which many seem to think is the only kind of braid that one does in Kumihimo. Not that one can't do more complex braids on the foam disk, but I got frustrated when I tried them, because they didn't work up as fast or simply as the round braid. I'm hoping they will be easier to do on a proper Marudai.
