I'm putting this in here for those people who aren't on Facebook, which is still quite a few of you, and who want to be part of the Labour Day Letter Writing Group with the upcoming Australian Election happening.
The Letter Writing is going to take place in Reservoir, at the house of the lovely Maz Weaver and Loki Carbis, and the ever-snuggle-seeking Brontë and Darcy the cats.

Nearest station: Ruthven (20 mins walk)
Nearest bus: 552 (Stops right opposite or beside the house)
It's a quiet street so parking shouldn't be too much of a problem.
We'll have a break-out space for discussions so that the letter-writers can do it in peace and quiet.
There are some chairs and tables, but if you're driving and can throw in a chair or two, that would be a huge help. Also if you want to bring your laptop, there will be power boards.
If the day is fine, there's lots of lovely space outside.
We will provide a number of pre-paid envelopes, notepaper, paper for the printer which we will also set up, pens, prompts, dictionaries, ideas, names and addresses of those to whom we wish to write, snacks and drinks. We'll also drop all the letters in a post box that evening.
It's a chance to write letters to politicians who are hoping to be re-elected, candidates for seats, party headquarters, newspapers and others, to ask:
* Treat Refugees and Asylum Seekers like Human Beings, bring them here to Australia and close Manus and Nauru.
* Raise Newstart, Austudy and Disability allowances
* Fund the NDIS and stop blocking people who need it from being able to access it.
* Increase funding for public housing
Or we WILL NOT VOTE FOR YOU IN THE UPCOMING ELECTION.
