reynardoI wrote a Jane Eyre story for the "Unsent Letters" exchange, and sent a copy to my mother, who gave it to her boyfriend, who is on the committee for the Brontë Association of Australia. They published it in their journal. Then they asked me to speak about fanfiction.
And then the Jane Austen Society of Australia wanted me to speak too.
So I did.

Date: 2026-05-08 11:19 am (UTC)On a completely different note, if you remember the Fanfiction night at Hares and Hyenas about 14 years ago, and there was one hilarious talk about one of the Supernatural Guys waking up gay (with the most hysterical Auslan translator), she was translating at another show in the Comedy Festival the other week, and I was able to send her a copy of the video I took of that Fanfiction talk.
