Truth time.
Oct. 23rd, 2003 08:07 pmI followed the "Four truths and one lie" meme and friends wrote what they thought.
So - are you prepared to be informed?
I came home from a disco in 1979 with love bites on my neck - my father thought I'd faked them.
And it's true. He mentioned that when he was a lad, girls would use Coke bottles to fake the hickeys.
I marched in 3 "Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras" parades.
True: As a helper for the Community Support Network, we got to march each year, and Adam marched twice too. Oh the high of having 500,000 people wishing you well and joyous as you walk along - it takes about 4 hours to come down again afterwards.
I was banned from the TAFE email system in 1989.
True: I was not coping with home life, and started a PBEM D&D game which was, I admit, taking too much of my time. But I could also log onto the system and see who was on. As the technology was very new then, certain high-level types thought I was able to hack into the accounts I could look at. They printed off all my email to check it. (I hope they choked over the snoogie passages.)
I own a signed picture of Mark Holden from his "Young Doctors" days, and kissed him when I got it. (He was a judge on the Australian Idol series)
FALSE: Never into him, never owned a picture of him, never watched "Young Doctors".
I once owned a 6 foot by 4 foot Donny Osmond poster.
er.. um .. er... oh all right I admit it. My father brought home two posters - one of Donny Osmond and one of David Cassidy. Well - it was1974. I used the David Cassidy one to paint on the back of, and put the Donny one aside to paint on later. I can only assume it got thrown out in my mother's clean-up.
Are we horrified yet?
