Another meme (ignore if you want)
Apr. 29th, 2004 04:58 pmI want to know more about you.
Answer me these questions three.
1) A moment you have stuck in your head that always makes you smile.
2) A moment you have stuck in your head that always makes you cry.
3) A moment you have stuck in your head that has changed the way you lived your life
My answers to these are below
1) that makes me smile
Driving with a friend, and approaching a large puddle in the road. "Around or through?" I cried. "Through" he yelled in reply, and we sped through and laughed with glee as the gouts of water fountained up around the car.
2) that makes me cry
Reading a report of baby girls in China and India being abandonned and left to die, because the pressure is on the parents to produce boys. in India, an orphanage has set up a "no questions, no lies" large box outside for the babies to be left rather than being killed. In China, the orphanage was swamped with babies who were often not even receiving minimum care. 3 month old girls were left 6 to a cot with bottles of formula beside them - if one happened to find the nipple, she survived.
3) that changed the way I live my life
When
da_norvegicus's father and I weren't getting on and he was staying over at my place and behaving worse and worse. I realised that I would have to be the "bad guy" and tell him to leave, because he was not willing to be the "bad guy" and actually do the leaving. That was when it finally dawned on me that sometimes, no matter what you do, you're sometimes going to have to be the Bad Guy.
(We're realy good friends now. We should have been just really good friends. But it took about 2 years to go from hate to civil to friends again)

Date: 2004-04-30 07:53 am (UTC)The day I married my wonderful husband. I couldn't get the stupid grin off my face all night! It was the best day of my life.
2) That makes me cry.
The day I found out that I had miscarried our longed for child. I've never felt any loss quite so deeply as I did losing all my plans for the future like that.
3) That changed the way I live my life now.
My constant growing, learning and slowly becoming more of the person I want to be; a better person.
