NZ (and presumably Aussie) 10c pieces used to substitute quite nicely for quarters... I didn't try it the last time I was over, but they worked 8 years ago. Very handy for waiting around in airport transit areas.

There's a groovy cafe in Wellington that has a couple of Space Invaders consoles as tables - they work too. :-)

I got to play the actual Pong machine at a local amusement park when I was a kid. It was outdoors though, so the weather probably ate it up inside.

Space Invaders was the first video game to ever get me hooked. That was really intense for a 1970's game. My dad always preferred pinball. :)
