To the Mods.

My pet rat ate my bunny plots,
My power bill's unpaid
I left the story at my Mum's
The mouse cord got too frayed.

I wrote my homework over it,
And gave it in in class,
And teacher kept it, read it out,
(I even got a pass!)

The goblins in the cupboards broke it,
Wiped my floppy disk,
And no, a backup wasn't made
I didn't see the risk.

My story's late - extension please,
My fifth grandmother's ill
And lives in darkest Africa,
I'm stuck beside her still.

I drew a picture of the lab,
With bench and kitchen sink
And didn't know my brother's prank
Of special fading ink!

A spaceship came and kidnapped it,
The Rapture took me off,
I'm dying of the scrump-pox dire
And have a nasty cough.

And so I've nothing to submit,
I didn't do my part,
But please believe my tale of woe!
I swear it, cross my heart!
